In order to improve staff productivity and increase work efficiency, ECOWAS through the Directorates of Human Resources and Information Technology organized a series of computer training sessions for all staff of the Institutions. and ECOWAS Agencies. The training taking place at the ECOWAS Staff Training Centre, Asokoro, Abuja will run from 5 September to 28 October 2022.

In his welcome speech to the participants, the Commissioner for Internal Services of the ECOWAS Commission, Professor Nazifi Abdulahi Darma, said that “training has gradually become a key part of the organization’s drive to improve skills , skills and overall productivity of staff”. He also thanked all participants for their continued dedication to personal development and workplace productivity. He reminded them that “we live in an ever-changing world, and to avoid being left behind, it is important for us to constantly evolve with international best practices. For example, the nature of work is constantly changing and jobs have moved from one sector to another on a large scale.

On top of that, many jobs are being automated and millions of people around the world are now working from home full-time or on a hybrid basis.” He added that adapting to new digital technologies such as MS Teams, ECOLINK and other cloud-based software packages will be very critical for the workforce of the future and urged participants to make the most of the programs. training to improve.

The hybrid-format IT training program includes both online and face-to-face meetings and offers classes of 15-20 participants.
