Maggie J’s Baby Store in Milnrow celebrates two years in business on August 15th.

The Bridge Street boutique was launched in 2020 by Julie Deane, combining over 20 years of expertise as a shopper and product developer with being a new mum after an emotional IVF journey.

After two rounds of treatment, Julie gave birth to her daughter, Maggie Joyce, on March 15, 2016. After a year’s maternity leave, Julie returned to her old job before deciding to put all her knowledge into the new venture. .

Julie said: “I want this store to speak to mums and mums-to-be, to listen to them to offer them the best service and the best advice. I believe, through my experience as a mum and shopper, that I can provide brands that are affordable and safe and perfect for new and growing families.

On celebrating two years of success, she added: “The last two years have been tough but amazing. Helping growing families with advice and helping them buy the perfect travel system or furniture set makes me so happy, knowing that another baby or child will be safe and comfortable.

“I’ve had some really great reviews that are worth it. I just want to say thank you to my customers for all of their support.

Maggie J’s provides all the essentials for babies of all ages: travel systems, strollers, high chairs, bouncers, diaper bags, bedding, mattresses, co-sleepers, bassinets, nursery furniture, feeding products and toys.

Julie also specializes in extended rear-facing car seats (up to seven years old) and is certified to install them. Car seats from birth to 150 cm (12 years) are also available.
