TNPSC Recruitment 2022: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the positions of i) Land Surveyor and ii) Draftsman and iii) Assistant Surveyor Draftsman. The post land surveyor and draftsman are included in the subordinate department of survey and land registration of Tamil Nadu and the assistant draftsman of land surveyor in the subordinate city and country planning department of Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu.

Applicants fulfilling the specific mandatory eligibility for vacant positions Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Recruitment Notification 2022 can apply online till 27th August 2022 and no later than that date. Candidates can make corrections in online applications between September 1 and September 3, 2022 (00:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.)

The TN Public Service Commission will likely conduct an OMR-based written exam on November 6, 2022 consisting of 02 papers for a total of 450 marks in morning/morning and afternoon sessions. The OMR-based exam to be held in the morning session and the afternoon session will be as follows:

OMR Written Exam Scheme: Paper-I with 03 hour exam duration in OMR answer sheet consists of 200 objective type multiple choice questions for a maximum of 300 ITI standard points. Candidates will have to choose between 1. Surveyor (national trade certificate) (code no. 387) and 2. Draftsman (civil) (national trade certificate) (code no. 388)

Paper-II with a total examination time of 03 hours includes 02 parts carries a maximum of 150 points; Tamil Eligibility Test Part A (SSLC Standard) contains 100 objective type multiple choice questions for 150 points. Part B also carrying a total of 150 marks consists of 100 general studies objective type multiple choice questions (code: 003); i.e. i) General Studies (ITI Standard) (75 OTMCQ) and Mental Ability and Capacity Test (SSLC Standard) (25 MCQs). Candidates appearing for the OMR written exam will be required to achieve minimum qualifying scores; that is, a minimum of 135 points to be obtained by reserved communities and a minimum of 180 qualifying points to be obtained by applicants in the general category.

Salary scale for all positions: Level 8 Rs. 19500.00 to Rs.71900.00

Upper age limit: i) For positions corresponding to serial numbers 1 and 2, the maximum age is * 32 years old. ii) For the position against serial number 3, the maximum age is * 37 years old. There is no maximum age limit belonging to the different reserved communities.

Training for positions against serial numbers 1, 2 and 3 are as follows:

1. Land Surveyor in the Survey and Settlement Wing:

i) A degree in Civil Engineering from any institute approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Or ii) National Surveyor Trade Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) Or iii) An Army Trade (Land) Surveyor Certificate issued by Madras Engineering Group.

2. Draftsman in the Survey and Settlement Wing
i) A degree in Civil Engineering from any institute approved by the All India Council for Technical Education Or ii) National Draftsman Trade Certificate (Civil) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training. Or iii) An Army Commercial Draftsman (Field) Certificate issued by Madras Engineering Group.

3. Assistant Surveyor and Draftsman in the Land Planning Department of Tamil Nadu

(i) Successful completion of the Naval Draftsman (Civil) course according to the revised syllabus introduced from July 1952, provided by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour: Or (ii) An Army Commercial Draftsman (Field) Certificate issued by the President, Technical Testing Board, Group and Madras Engineering Center; Or iii) A draftsman’s certificate (civilian) issued by the Craftsmen’s Training Center; Or iv) National Trade Certificate of Draftsman (Civil) Trade or Surveyor Trade issued by National Council for Training in Vocational Trades (NCTVT), Government of India through Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and the successful completion of apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961; Or (v) Diploma in Civil Engineering.
