Two Nollywood actors missing in Enugu

Two Nigerian actors and members of the Actor guild of Nigeria, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel alias Agbogidi have been reported missing. Family members have revealed that the two Nollywood stars did not return home after filming in the town of Ozalla, Enugu State.

The development was confirmed in a statement released Friday by Monalisa Chinda-Coker, director of communications for the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

The statement read in part: “Both members were suspected of being kidnapped, which has heightened fear among (Guild) members about the safety of actors filming in the country,

The Actors Guild of Nigeria has urged the public to join in prayers for the release of kidnapped actors and warned its members not to travel to the outskirts of towns to film unless there is adequate security .

“Due to this sad development, Guild National President Ejezie Emeka Rollas has asked all actors to avoid traveling to the outskirts of towns to film unless full security coverage is provided. to ensure their safety.”
