EV-crazed Mayor Michael Regan is urging Northern Beaches residents to get an EV next weekend.
The Northern Beaches Council is supporting NRMA Electric Vehicle (EV) Ride Days next Saturday and Sunday, July 23-24, at the HART (Honda Australia Roadcraft Training) Ride Facility, which borders Belrose at Mona Vale Road , St Ives. Tesla Mayor Michael Regan encourages residents to take the opportunity to get first-hand experience with electric vehicles.
“Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m a huge advocate for electric vehicles and all the benefits they bring, which is why I’m delighted the Council is supporting the first of the NRMA’s Electric Vehicle Days of Driving. in St Ives next weekend.
“Come chat with the experts on buying, owning and charging electric vehicles, take part in an information session or simply learn about the electric vehicles on display. There are even activities to keep the children occupied while you navigate.
“This is a great opportunity to find out more if you are considering going electric. As a Council, it is important that we lead by example and are committed to investing in vehicles and infrastructure to support our transition, and that of the community, to net-zero transportation solutions, which will also save us money in the longer term,” said Mayor Regan.
Test drives for the event were complete, according to the NRMA website for the event. There will be a number of different models of electric vehicles at your fingertips, with experts available to discuss EV buying, owning and charging. Display models will be available from Tesla, MG, Volvo, Polestar and Nissan.
