The application deadline is midnight tonight for the Fremont County Startup Challenge – Apply NOW!


(Fremont County, Wyoming) – Fremont IMPACT announced the launch of the 2022 Fremont County Startup Challenge with the opening of the application period on January 31, 2022. This will be the first year that the new annual Fremont County Entrepreneur Competition will be held. Applicants will be vying for part of a seed capital fund that has been set up for the event.

“We want to encourage people to submit these applications. The March 7 deadline for applications is fast approaching,” said Brian Young, associate director at IMPACT Fremont. “This event, along with our ongoing business mentorship services already in place, will create primary jobs in the county and significantly expand the entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

The free app is simple and straightforward. Interested entrepreneurs answer a few questions describing their business idea, product or service, the market they plan to serve, and why they think customers will choose their offering over other options available to them. them. Applications will be accepted until March 7, 2022. A panel of community judges, many of whom are entrepreneurs, will select the top contenders for a semi-final. Five finalists will be chosen to work with IMPACT Fremont to further develop their plans and prepare a presentation for Pitch Night, to be held locally on May 14, 2022.

IMPACT 307 is a business development program at the University of Wyoming. It is a non-profit business incubator system that provides start-ups and start-ups with the expertise, networks, and tools needed to grow successful businesses. It is a unit of the University’s Office of Research and Economic Development.
