The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, in partnership with Air Chateau International, inaugurated on Tuesday its new helicopter center, the Dubai Helipark, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group.
The new center, spread over a plot of over 42,800 square meters, is located next to the Dubai South VIP terminal and will be delivered in two phases, with the first phase now operational and the second phase to be completed by 2023. .
The state-of-the-art helicopter center is the largest of its kind, accommodating eight helicopters to facilitate transportation between business centers and tourist destinations in the UAE. In addition, it has a VIP lounge to meet, welcome and inform potentially very wealthy people (UHNWI) arriving at the VIP terminal.
In addition to offering the best amenities for UHNWIs arriving by their private jets, Air Chateau will also provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. It will also include a showroom for the latest helicopters presented by the world’s leading manufacturers.
The operations will allow the multitude of private helicopter owners, individuals and businesses, to consider renting a parking space on the premises and ensuring easy access to other helipads.
Through this partnership, Air Chateau International will supply, manage and operate the center using its more than 50 years of expertise in the aviation industry.
The ceremony was attended by Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of the Dubai Aviation City Corporation; Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub; Dr. Samir Mohammed, President and Founder of Air Chateau International; and Shilton Tony Irudayaraj, co-founder of Air Chateau International, as well as other senior executives.
“We are delighted with the launch of the new Dubai Helipark, which will provide UHNWIs with smooth flights from the DWC to multiple helipads across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other locations in the United Arab Emirates. As visitors flock to the emirate for Expo 2020 Dubai, UHNWIs are expected to use the most luxurious and exclusive mode of transportation to meet their needs while visiting Dubai, and we hope to see a huge increase helicopter rentals and short transport. Targeted and UHNWI-centric drop-off / pick-up services during Expo 2020, ”Saif said.

Irudayaraj said: “After delivering Phase 1, we plan to open the premises for tourists visiting Dubai and use Heli services to see the beautiful skyline of Dubai. Our efforts will also be to offer single and twin engine flights which can also offer visitors a unique night flying experience. “
The new center will also house the largest helicopter sales showroom and training center in the UAE, providing a range of services to helicopter owners.
